The purpose of the Centerstage Church Women's Ministry is to provide various opportunities for ladies to grow in a deeper relationship with Christ through prayer, Bible study, fellowship and service.
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:30
Peralta Trail Elementary School has children and families in need. We provide a nutritious snack pack to students on a weekly basis. Every Sunday we collect food items such as:
Canned goods can include:
meat (beef, chicken, tuna, spam), beef stew, chili, soup, fruit, vegetables, raviolli, spaghettios, vegetable juice
Packaged goods can include:
cereal, oatmeal, mac & cheese, instant potatoes, crackers, snack packs, cheese crackers, cookies
Other items can include: shelf stable milk or choc milk, canned milk, dry milk, nuts, bottled water, canned or bottled juice. peanut butter, jelly/jam, dried fruit.
Individual serving sizes are great!
Please note: Some of the families do not have refrigerators or cooking facilities.
God has charged us with being good stewards of all He has given us. That includes caring for all of the people in our church family.
Women's Ministry organizes support for our church families in times of illness or hospitalization. We help find a ride to the doctor, run errands during illness, organize meals to be brought to the home during hospital stays or at home recovery periods, we'll even wash your dishes.
Our Christmas project centers around the Peralta Trail Angel Tree. We decorate the tree with angels who display wants, needs, and sizes for each child in the adopted families. We gather gift items purchased by members of the congregation, sort and wrap them, and get them ready for the families. We also gather extra food items for Christmas dinner and some things dad and mom might need.
For Mother's Day, Women's Ministry collects new and gently used purses, jewelry, and new toiletry items for donation to a women's shelter in the area. These purses are geared toward women in abuse shelters who are learning to make their own way and re-entering the work place.
Call Women's Ministry Director, Carol Searle at (360) 770-3737 or the church office at (480) 924-5122 to let us know your needs.
Our first half day retreat was thoroughly enjoyed by all the ladies who attended. Along with our wonderful inspirational speaker, Kathe Wunnenberg, we also had a lovely luncheon and some fun activities. If you missed the fall retreat, watch this page for news of our spring retreat.
